Can’t go wrong Face masks

Oh I do love a revitalizing face mask, especially when lying in the bath and just relaxing! But if you are the type that struggles to find a face mask that is right for you, why not make you own?

The ingredients you use in masks can aid in what you are looking for. For example, if you want an exfoliating mask, you should go for ingredients such as oatmeal or coffee.

So here are some examples of face masks that you can try and make at home. Let me know how it goes ;)

Banana Facial Masks

Bananas are great for moisturising skin and making it feel much softer, think of it as your natural Botox! All you need to do is mash up a ripe banana into a smooth paste, then gently apply it to your face and neck. Let it set for 10 to 20 minutes, then rinse it off with lukewarm water. As an extra, add 1/4 cup plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey to one medium- sized banana.

Oatmeal Facial Masks

This one is great if you want a slight exfoliation and pick-me-up to your mask. Super easy, all you have to do is half a cup hot (not boiling) water and 1/3 cup oatmeal. After the water and oatmeal have settled for two or three minutes, mix in 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 small egg white. Apply a thin layer of the mask to your face, and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

Lift & Tighten Mask

For this super cool mask you will need to combine 2 Tbsp. plain yoghurt with 1Tbsp. fresh lemon juice and apply to your clean face and neck. Wait 20min for it to dry. You will slowly feel the mask tighten. This face-lifting mask helps fade age-spots, acne scars and even helps keep blemishes and acne in check. Not a bad idea to do at least once a week.

And there you have it! Three awesome face mask ‘recipes’ to pick from. I am definitely trying the ‘Lift and Tighten’ mask when I have had a rough night!

So, try your masks this week!
