'SCRUB!' My mom use to say. 'Get all that dead skin off!!' Which is true, our skin does need some amount of scrubbing to get rid of dead skin cells and unblock pores, but when does scrubbing become too much??

When it comes to the face over scrubbing can cause burst veins and skin irritation, so beware. However, I like to use a body scrub quite regularly. The skin of the body can handle much more "scrubbing' (or exfoliating) than the face. So I use a body scrub at least 3 times a week.

I always find that scrubs purchased in stores can be either super expensive or quite harsh. Personally, I prefer natural scrubs. Not only are they cheaper and super easy to make, but they contain healthy, natural ingredients!

Soo.. here is my 'recipe' for a simple body scrub:

You will need:

  • 2 cups Brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup Olive oil

  • 2/3 cup Coconut oil (melted)

  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Ginger

  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Mixed spice

  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon

  • Sealed Container

Basically you mix everything together and Ta-da!! Your body scrub!

Water does dissolve the sugar, so when in the shower, switch the water off when applying the scrub and then wash off. Because this is a natural and homemade product, it will last longer if you keep it in a sealed container in the fridge.

Happy scrubbing!!

Much Love

This weeks favourite has to be the under shadow base by Sormé, I am super impressed. Does not let your eyeshadow grease, eyeshadow glides on and blends in beautifully.
